Abstract
Remuneration Policy issues are strategic principles or actions adopted by an organization to achieve its financial objectives as well as carrying out its statutory mandate. Policy plays a vital role in influencing the performance of an organization. It is one kind of thought and existence individuals have which express their behaviors and eagerness towards strengthens performance. In every organization, emphasized should be on the need to motivate and raise morale of the employees by way of ensuring employees satisfaction through remuneration. Remuneration plays strong motivational factors that provide quick job satisfaction to the employees. This study seeks to stimulate policy formulation towards better service delivery by appraising policy issues in Directorate of Undergraduate Studies Federal College of Education Yola. The research intends to adopt survey design to assess the perception of staff and service providers on policy issues for the services they render. The stratified random sampling technique was used to select samples and sample size. Data was collected using Questionnaire, Semi Structured Interview (SSI) and a guided Focused Group Discussion (FGD). The data collected was analyzed thematically using theme of the research objectives (i.e. thematic data analysis). Findings indicates that remuneration policy is a motivational factor for both the administrators particularly policy formulator and staff in ensuring better service delivery in tertiary institutions of learning. Hence, major finding revealed that there is a significant relationship between policy issues and service delivery.
