Abstract
The study examined conflict management and organizational performance: A study of Auchi Polytechnic Welfare Association. The objectives of the study were to determine the effects of poor superior-subordinate relationship, effective conflict management and collaboration strategy on organizational performance. To empirically analyze the effects of conflict management on organizational performance, the research adopted survey research design. The targeted population comprised three thousand four hundred and forty three (3343) Auchi Polytechnic Welfare Association. The sample size of 357 was determined using Taro Yaman’s formula. Pearson’s correlation technique was used to test the hypotheses formulated. The result of the findings revealed that poor superior-subordinate relationship, effective conflict management and collaboration strategy have significant effects on organizational performance. It was recommended, among others, that, effective management-employee relationship as well as interpersonal relationships should be encouraged.
